The foundation year in Biological Sciences and Pharmacy provides students an in-depth, supportive and adequate academic and personal preparation for successful degree level study in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Sports Science Biomedical Sciences as well as many other related disciplines.
This foundation year is designed to help you acquire necessary subject specific knowledge on major course principles, help you build your confidence in your personal skills, work on your English proficiency and the IELTS exam alongside with developing essential academic and study skills.
Through the foundation year you will taught via different teaching and learning methods similar to university study. These includes lectures, Independent study, Group work, Laboratory work including practical classes and field courses, on-line teaching and workshops in addition to study skills tutorials. The foundation year is designed to provide the fundamental knowledge base in key principle disciplines, such as biology and chemistry, studying living organisms in all their epic variety as well as you will study the form and function of the human body and a further introduction in cell biology, genetics, microbiology and immunology.
