Erasmus+
Supporting Student Mobility Across EuropeLedra College International/ Erasmus Office will be responsible for the management and implementation of European mobility of students and staff (faculty and administrative), developing and maintain partner institutional cooperation, offering advisory services for students and staff.
STAFF MOBILITY
- Incoming Staff for Teaching
Faculty members from other institutions participating in the Erasmus+ program who are interested in teaching at Ledra College should contact the college’s Institutional Erasmus Program Coordinator. Upon expressing interest, the coordinator will forward your request to the relevant department at Ledra College to explore potential teaching collaborations. The decision to accept a visiting faculty member rest with the department in question.
The hosting department will arrange a teaching program tailored to the visitor’s interests, which involves a significant time commitment for planning and hosting the visit. Once the visit dates are agreed upon, the Teaching Program will be prepared. Upon receipt of the finalized Teaching Program, an official invitation letter from the Institutional Erasmus Program Coordinator will be sent via email.
Visiting faculty must be employed by a partner institution of Ledra College with an existing agreement for Staff Mobility. Financial support for the visit should be provided by the visitor’s home institution. Additionally, visitors are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient medical insurance coverage during their stay in Cyprus.
- Outgoing Staff for Teaching
Erasmus+ provides an excellent opportunity for academic staff to teach at one of the partner institutions of Ledra College. Teaching mobility is only possible with another Higher Education Institution that has an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement with Ledra College.
The duration of a European Teaching Mobility Assignment ranges from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 2 months, requiring at least 8 hours of teaching. This mobility activity must take place in any Program Country outside of Cyprus and be conducted by a faculty member. Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously participated in the program.
Before the mobility period begins, the receiving institution must agree on the planned activities by completing a Mobility Agreement. The teaching assignment should be incorporated into the receiving institution’s curriculum, and mobility for teaching can cover any subject area or academic discipline.
Approved participants will receive a grant to cover travel and subsistence expenses, based on the type and duration of the mobility.
- Incoming Staff for Training
Ledra College welcomes requests from staff at other institutions wishing to carry out training mobility at our institution. To begin, the staff member should visit the Ledra College website to identify the department they wish to engage with. Requests can be submitted directly to the Institutional Erasmus Program Coordinator.
Once interest is expressed, the coordinator will forward the request to the appropriate department. Acceptance of a training visitor is at the discretion of the department in question. The hosting department will be responsible for organizing a training program aligned with the visitor’s interests, which requires a significant time commitment for both planning and hosting the visit.
Once the department provides a positive response, the visit dates are confirmed, and the Training Program is finalized, an official invitation letter from the Institutional Erasmus+ Program Coordinator will be sent via email to the interested staff member.
To qualify for staff training mobility, visiting staff must be employed by a partner institution of Ledra College with an established agreement for Staff Mobility. Financial support should be provided by the visitor’s home institution, and visitors must ensure they have adequate medical insurance coverage during their stay in Cyprus.
- Outgoing Staff for Training
All full-time administrative staff at Ledra College have the opportunity to travel to European partner institutions for training purposes. The duration of the mobility can range from a minimum of 2 days to a maximum of 2 months, depending on the available budget for the academic year. Approved participants will receive a grant to cover travel and subsistence expenses, based on the type and length of the mobility.
Staff training supports the professional development of both teaching and non-teaching staff through various activities abroad, such as training events (excluding conferences), staff training weeks, seminars, workshops, courses, job shadowing, and observation in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) or relevant enterprise. This includes both partner and non-partner institutions.
Before the mobility period begins, the sending and receiving institution or enterprise must agree on the program of activities by completing a Mobility Agreement.
Administrative staff interested in applying for training mobility may choose any institution (including Partner Institutions) or enterprise/office/company, as long as they receive acceptance from the host organization, which must be a legal entity. For Higher Education Institutions, they must hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).

Erasmus+ exchange students coming to Ledra College must use the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) to complete the Learning Agreement form.
To fill out the Learning Agreement, incoming students must select the courses they intend to take at Ledra College. The Courses Offered Per Semester list provides details on the courses typically available during the Fall and Spring semesters, and students can use this list to create their learning agreement.
If for any reason (e.g., a course is not offered during a specific semester, the student changes their mind, or selected courses have scheduling conflicts), the student may need to change one or more of the courses listed in the Learning Agreement. In such cases, the student can replace the initially selected courses in coordination with their home institution and complete a Changes in the Learning Agreement form.

If you wish to study for one or two semesters as an Erasmus+ student, you should contact the Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator at Ledra College to explore the possibility of participating in the program. The duration of the mobility can vary from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months for each study cycle. By engaging in an Erasmus+ mobility program, students from Ledra College can acquire valuable experience and enhance their education. Participants are required to pay tuition fees to Ledra College and are exempt from fees at the host institution abroad. Additionally, these students receive a grant to help cover their accommodation and living expenses.
A travel allowance is also provided to students, calculated based on the distance from Nicosia to the host institution.
To apply for the Erasmus+ program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a full-time registered student in a Bachelor’s degree program at Ledra College.
- Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3 out of 4.
- Have completed a minimum of 120 ECTS credits.
Students interested in studying at one of the partner institutions in Europe should consult the list of institutions with which Ledra College has established bilateral agreements in their specific field of study. You are encouraged to visit the partner institutions’ websites, review the programs they offer, and make an informed decision accordingly.
Before submitting your application form, you may also want to contact the partner institution for further details regarding the available courses for the relevant semester and the language of instruction. Additionally, it is advisable to consider only those courses that align with your program of study at Ledra College.
If you wish to apply to an institution that does not have a bilateral agreement with Ledra College, please inform us so that we can reach out to that institution to request the establishment of a bilateral agreement.
To participate in the Erasmus+ mobility program as an outgoing student, you need to select the courses you plan to take at the host institution and complete the Learning Agreement Form using the Online Learning Agreement (OLA).
If you need to change any of the selected courses on your Learning Agreement for any reason (e.g., a course is not offered in a specific semester, you have changed your mind, or there are scheduling conflicts), you can substitute the initially selected courses in collaboration with the Erasmus Coordinator at Ledra College and fill out a Changes in the Learning Agreement form.
Before your departure, you will need to complete the online language course and/or assessment. We also recommend obtaining the EU Health Card from the Cyprus Ministry of Health, which will grant you access to healthcare services in all participating EU countries.
Upon your arrival at the host institution, the Erasmus office must sign an Arrival Form and send it back to Ledra College.
During your time studying abroad, your academic supervisor at the host institution will monitor your progress and complete a confidential progress report, which will be sent to Ledra College.
Before leaving the host institution, their Erasmus office must provide you with:
